Sometimes to us! Sometimes to churches and food pantries.
MomAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8044648.post-38742511370246682212010-07-08T19:55:22.404-05:002010-07-08T19:55:22.404-05:00The United States of Amorica. This country is due for a food revolution. Yours will probably be the first generation to live a shorter life than your parents. The trend has already reversed in some states.

DaveAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8044648.post-59722684767491454752010-07-07T02:41:00.136-05:002010-07-07T02:41:00.136-05:00I was skeptical when you mentioned this yesterday,...I was skeptical when you mentioned this yesterday, but it sounds like a good time, and an easy way to get good food...Hm...I would do this now, especially after thinking about it in terms of a responsibility to prevent more waste! And it really is a shame that they can't figure out a way to directly help more people in the city that need food.
SAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8044648.post-33339583919087979302010-07-07T00:06:25.577-05:002010-07-07T00:06:25.577-05:00Well, it should work that way, but it doesn't,...Well, it should work that way, but it doesn't, at least not with all the stores. There might be some that do donate their day-old stuff to soup kitchens. For the rest of them, it has to go through the intermediary of the freegans. Don't those stores contact soup kitchens, and aren't charities there ready to grab the food? I thought that's how it was supposed to work, if the baked goods didn't get sent to day-old bakeries. Anyway, I am proud of you. GrandmaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
