This won't be very long, but here are a few things.
-I made a couple new YouTube videos. One, Two. Total time about 5½ minutes.
-Grandma has broken her ankle. Grandma, I'm sorry that you broke your ankle. Hope you feel better soon. Have you got a cast, or what?
-Yesterday, Jordan and I had some spare time, so he took me to Sugar Creek, which is a nature preserve nearby. He'd told me about it, but I didn't know where it was, so he showed me. It was way better than I'd anticipated. First off, it wasn't just some trees given space at the edge of a field. It was a proper forest, with full-size trees and a real live ecosystem. It's way better than Warder. It even looks like excellent krokay grounds. We walked through the leaves downhill to the creek. It runs through a gully about four feet deep with sheer walls, and its banks are deep thick mud, which was fun to walk in [neither of us bothered with shoes]. We waded through the cold water to the other side, and walked around a little more, then crossed back over and leisurely navigated back up the hill to his car. Now I'm imagining having a wicket on the other side of the gully, so that you have to jump your krokay ball over the wide chasm. That would be awesome. I wish I knew a plastic manufacturer that could do the machining I need in-house. If anyone knows a company that can sell and machine 3"-diameter nylon 6,6 rods, give me a shout.

I have what's called an aligned fracture of the fibula. I didn't need a cast, but have a boot instead. It looks like a huge ski boot and keeps my ankle in the right place. I have to have it for four weeks and then another x-ray. That's not as bad as I thought, but Phoenix will miss his walks for that long. Grandpa takes him but not as far as I did. Are you coming home for Thanksgiving? Grandma
Hey, LOVE the videos and especially the smiles! Phenomenal...hope more people see these....pass it around....youtube legend!
Mom
In the olden days we never got a Thanksgiving break. We just got the day off. I'm guessing you still do something similar, since you just had a big fall break.
Aunt E.
Ahh. There was a girl at school last year who had a big boot like that. For the duration, she reveled in being called "Boot".
For Thanksgiving, we get Thursday and Friday off, and then of course the weekend. I've requested a ride to Cincinnati or somewhere near it, on the ride board, leaving as soon as possible. I don't know if I'll get any bites. In any case, getting to Cincinnati and then West Virginia by Thursday at dinnertime seems tenuous. If I get a ride, Friday may be possible. I may end up staying here, which would make me kinda sad. But then, I've got four weeks of winter vacation, practically a solid month, so I'll be happy. And I already know I've got a ride for that - Jordan's driving. Also, spring break is two weeks long here, did you know?
Grandma, hope you are feeling better! Maybe I will bring the kids up this weekend and we can all sign your boot. Sierra would love that. I'll be out there on thursday to pick you up in the jet. Oh wait, I forgot, I'm just the pilot, not the CEO.
Does greyhound run out there? You could always find an empty boxcar going east.
